Having a simple investment strategy can make underwriting much easier. A standard residential purchase, with a clear exit strategy, can be wrapped up within mere days here at Market Financial Solutions.
But, occasionally the challenges don’t come from an investment’s complicated nature, the state of the wider market, or even borrower’s credit record. Sometimes, a borrower’s setup can present certain unanswered questions.
One of our underwriters had to find a way forward for a borrower whose situation, at first glance, didn’t seem to add up.
Something didn’t add up
From the early stages of this deal, the borrower’s circumstances threatened to slow down the deal. To line everything up, we worked closely with the legal teams involved. With their support, we were recognised what needed to be identified, and ensured our funding could be easily covered.
This was the main hurdle for this deal, with the underlying asset being highly desirable. The exit strategy was also clearly planned out. In covering our bases, we comfortably provided the finance required.
Two (or more) heads are better than one
We’re proud of our underwriting practices, but they wouldn’t be possible without the pool of resources we’re able to draw from. Having diversified funding lines behind us allows us to progress with confidence. Meanwhile, partnering with trusted conveyancers, valuers, and other professionals helps with finding solutions to tricky issues as they emerge.
Remaining flexible across all our deals is important to us here at Market Financial Solutions. Regardless of whether it’s a quick deal for a residential investment, or a complicated conversion project involving multiple commercial properties.
We will always do what we can to find a way forward for our brokers and their clients. Even when solutions do not immediately present themselves.
